Our story
Kanya Thai Kitchen began in a small home kitchen, where cooking was our way of sharing love with the people who mattered most.
Sawaddee ka! My name is Piyada. I moved to the United States in 2018, and like many new beginnings, it came with challenges. I had to adjust to a new environment, a new language, the weather, and a different culture — but the hardest part was being away from the food and the joyful kitchen atmosphere I grew up with.
Even though there are many Thai restaurants in town, I often missed the feeling of real home-cooked Thai food — the warmth, the aroma, the love in every dish, and the joy of cooking together.
That feeling is the heart of Kanya Thai Kitchen. The name “Kanya” comes from my mother, my first culinary teacher, who taught me that food is more than flavor — it is love, care, and connection.
I carried her lessons with me when I got married and moved far across the world. Cooking became my comfort and my way of staying close to home. I began cooking not only for myself, but for my husband and our friends.
Over time, my husband and I realized that we wanted others to experience the same comfort — to cook and enjoy the food we love, made with the same clean and healthy ingredients we choose for our own family.

Kanya Thai Kitchen, we are dedicated to teaching the art of authentic Thai cooking. Our hands-on classes and easy-to-find ingredients empower students to master the flavors of Thailand in their own kitchens. Not only will you enjoy the experience in class — you’ll also take home practical tips, techniques, and confidence to recreate real Thai dishes whenever you want.
